Recipe - Savoury Mince

A simple and easy midweek household favourite, this savoury mince recipe is tasty, versatile and a great recipe for batch cooking and freezing.

Best of all it’s super cheap, easy and quick to make.

Utilising frozen vegetables and pantry staples, combined to make a delicious thick gravy-style sauce for the beef. Leftovers can be made into cottage.


Prep: 10 min - Cooking: 15 min - Ready in: 25 min - Makes: 12 - Cost : $22.99 or $1.95per serve


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 1/2 Onion diced

  • 1 clove Garlic diced

  • 1 Carrot diced

  • 1 Celery diced

  • 500 grams Beef Mince

  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

  • 2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

  • 2 table tomatoes diced

  • 1 cup Stock or 1 Stock cube

  • 1 teaspoon Vegemite

Directions

  1. Heat Oil in pan, fry onion, garlic, carrots until soft.

  2. Add mince, paprika, italian seasoning stir to break up mince.

  3. Add remaining ingredients, bring to simmer.

  4. Turn heat down cover with lid and cook for further 10-15 minutes. Click here this recipe in PDF format.
