Recipe - Chicken Sausage Rolls

It’s no secret us Aussies love a good sausage roll, with summer on the way these little beauties will fit right in for nibbles at a BBQ, lunch box fillers for the hungry kids and snacks by the pool.

This simple quick delicious 1 bowl 4 ingredients sausage rolls will have your taste buds dancing and become a family favourite.

Double your recipe and you’ll have extra to freeze for a rainy day.

Prep time: 20 mins - Cooking Time: 30 mins - Ready in: 50 mins - Makes: 80 mini sausage rolls Cost: $22.91 in total or 28 cents per mini roll

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo of Chicken Mince

  • 2 Carrots, grated

  • 1/2 cup Honey

  • 4 Puff Pastry Sheets

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°

  2. Line oven tray with baking paper

  3. Mix all ingredients together until well combined

  4. Add salt & pepper to your taste

  5. Lay puff pastry sheet on bench plastic side down

  6. Cut sheet in half

  7. Spoon mixture on one side of pastry forming a log

  8. Roll pastry up overlapping the edges, placing the join underneath

  9. Cut into 2cm pieces, place onto tray

  10. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden

  11. Allow to cool and eat or freeze for lunch box fillers

Tips

Add other veggie or cheese for an added boost. Substitute chicken with your favourite meat or sausage. Freeze uncooked rolls for a quick easy snack another day. Click Here to download a printer friendly PDF version of this recipe.
